The aspiration of owning a home is becoming increasingly unattainable for numerous families in Canada due to rising living expenses and inflation. Per an Ipsos survey released in October 2023, a significant two-thirds of Canadians have forsaken the dream of owning a home, with a majority now seeing it as a luxury reserved for the affluent.

Vida, a Canadian multifamily real estate firm, has initiated a global landscape and design competition, creatively backed by the renowned Canadian comedy series 'Trailer Park Boys'. The competition entails creating the landscape for a new 6.6-acre affordable housing community located in Kentville, Nova Scotia.
