Satellite radio provider XM Canada Canada Satellite radio provider XM Canada launched a new product earlier this week that helps connects its service with Apple iPod Touch and iPhone users. The company released XM SkyDock which has a built-in XM tuner controlled by a free App that users download from the App Store on their iPod touch and iPhone. The app allows control of the XM tuner using the Multi-Touch user interface on the iPod touch or iPhone. The XM SkyDock will also charge your iPod touch and iPhone while listening to live satellite radio.
“Our programming has always been the key selling point and we are now making it easier for users to listen to XM Canada, wherever they are,” said Janet Gillespie, Marketing Vice-President of XM Canada. “The new XM SkyDock, combined with the XM app, give iPod touch and iPhone users access to their favourite programming in the car. Get out of the car, and with our recently launched XM online+ service, you don’t miss a beat. And if you’re only going to listen to XM on your mobile, then we have a stand-alone service package for you.”
XM SkyDock comes with XM’s PowerConnect technology, which simplifies Do-It-Yourself vehicle installation, working through the existing vehicle radio and making it easy to move from vehicle to vehicle. Providing listeners access to all their favourite sports, commercial-free music, news, talk and comedy, including NHL Home Ice, MLB Home Plate, The Virus with Opie and Anthony, the Foxxhole produced by Jamie Foxx, Oprah Radio, Cosmo Radio, CNN, Fox and much more.
