The battle of wireless customers in Canada is heating up, Toronto-based Wind Mobile (owne by Glob
alive) has been consistently taking steps towards their launch and a place at the table as one of Canada’s wireles providers. Their latest move is the opening of a call center in Peterborough, Ontario which is said to create up to 200 jobs over the next year.
“We are proud to welcome WIND Mobile to the City of Peterborough,” said Mayor Paul Ayotte. “Given the current economic climate, the announcement of the creation of these new jobs in Peterborough is very welcome news.”
The company is expecting to launch their service in the spring of 2010 and is looking to employ 2,000 people.
