Canadians we love our Internet, but is there such a thing as too much? Looks like we just might need some type of intervention program since we’re so addicted to it. The big buzz or latest addiction is a new service called Twitter. Think big brother meets the Internet with the ability to get updates share minute to minute updates on what you are doing “right now” through such technologies as SMS or RSS feeds. Personally I don’t get it, but then again I haven’t really stopped to give it full attention maybe there are just so many other ways to get lost in the virtual world, and don’t get me started on Facebook. I recall reading an article in Profit magazine years ago and which mentioned that if you want to be successful, sell your products through Walmart. With the size of their distribution that makes total sense, and it looks like Chum Television is getting that concept with their latest partnership with Joost which is definitely going to have an impact on how we consume video content for years. Start up Fresh Books is also taking this same type of partnership model to heart as they announced integration with Basecamp which proves that solving a simple business problem is one of the keys to success.
