The race between the Internet’s Big Three (Google, Microsoft and Yahoo) continues to keep things interesting as they all battle to get more and more of your advertising budgets. This month we’ve already seen Yahoo Canada’s release their new Yahoo Search Marketing and rumours have been flying about Microsoft’s new adCenter which is to make its debut later this month. So what can we expect from Google Canada, well they took a bit of a hit in recent months with the loss of industry veteran Wendy Muller at the helm as she took a very early retirement to go explore the world, but how much longer will Google Canada stay quiet, stay tuned “As the World of Searches.”

Barcelona was the hot spot last week in the connected world with the Annual 3GSM Conference that brings together the world’s mobile industry for 3 days of exhibitions and educational sessions. Canada had some great representation from people such as Chris Houston, President, Amp’d Mobile Canada, David Neale, Vice President of Service Development, Rogers Communications, Scott Totzki, Vice President Global Services Group, RIM and Jim Balsillie, Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer, RIM. Lots of new products have been announced as a result of the conference but the one that I’d love to get my hands on is the new BlackBerry 8800 available from Rogers.

Speaking of BlackBerry, here’s some data that was released last week that might help you answer whether you are a BlackBerry addict or not?

Montreal’s technology community just got a big boost with the launch of a new portal for their ICT cluster and the online dating scene got hot in time for Valentine’s Day with the an update with lots of fish and a new harmony arrives in town.
