Is it me or is there a buzz in the industry that reminds you of the dot com days? Now I’ll agree it isn’t the at the same level of growth or spending, but just about every area of the online world is growing and everyone is trying to jump in. There is a big move from PR firms to understand social media and how it can be applied to their clients. A few of them have been early adopters and launched new divisions first, but stay tuned to an RSS reader or email near you for some announcements later this spring from the next batch of firms who will make their entrance. Telecommunications companies are scrabling to keep their market share as smaller start-ups are launching VOIP based products and services to make our communication easier and cheaper. One thing hasn’t really changed and that is that Canadian’s are still very conservative about showing off the great things we do with technology and that is one of the goals of Profectio – to share the stories and news of Canada’s connected community. Now let’s get to the wrap up of last week…
