Headlines
Susanne Courtney and Sharon Rainey have agreed to sell their public relations firm Courtney Rainey Group to Cohn & Wolfe Canada and both will stay on as Senior Vice Presidents. All Courtney Rainey Group employees are reportedly joining the Cohn & Wolfe team as well.

mytelus.com and lycos.ca are both bulking up their online offering, and had announcements of new tools to offer more to their user based. mytelus.com added photo sharing capabilities, while lycos.ca partnered up with livedeal.ca to give members a classified section to buy and sell member products.

Deal Flow
In efforts to grow their existing mobile publishing, distribution and development offering, SilverBirch Inc. has purchased Jambo Mobile SilverBirchSolutions for $1.2 million in a deal of cash and shares in SilverBirch. Jambo Solutions founders, Derek Colfer, Vice President, Strategic Development and Matthew Kim, Vice President, Technology will both stay on as employees for a two year period. Jambo Mobile Solutions, also a Toronto based company providing SMS text messaging, EMS, MMS, and WAP with clients such as Adidas, Sony and Vonage.

AccelewareCalgary based Acceleware has received $2,925,000 in investment from graphic processor manufacture NVIDIA Corporation. NVIDIA’s investment is fostered by an already existing over two year relationship by the two companies.

On The Job
Eloqua Corporation has appointed Joseph Payne as Chief Executive Officer, prior to this Joseph was President and COO of iDefense, acquired by VeriSign in 2006. Prior to joining iDefense, he was President and CEO of eSecurity Inc., and President and CEO of eGrail. Eloqua Corporation has had a lot of success i the B2B marketing space and has achieved its second consecutive year of 100% revenue growth and doubled its customer base in 2006.

SelectCore will be adding Abu-Leil to the company’s management team as Vice President of Sales & Distribution. Mr. Abu-Leil is an MBA graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University and also holds a BSc. in Computer Science from the University of Jordan. Since 2002 he successfully managed a private telecom distribution company growing it to multi-million dollar revenue levels.
