Ruth – For some reason the widget seems to work on some sites but not all, I’ll keep playing with it and if not contact Poll Daddy.
Go Jon!
Go Jon! Good luck.
@Dave Forde – Thanks.
Go Jon!
Good job on this Dave….everybody wins – credibility building for social media, attention for the A and B listers and some traffic for you…smart idea…I will vote with secret ballot
I can’t choose. Too many awesome men. Like Bob said, this list reads like a who’s who in canada’s social media scene.
Oh, wait, now there’s a great idea…
This is too hard. Is anyone having as difficult a time as I am in voting just for 1?
Come on Leesa, eventually all women have to ‘choose just 1 man’…
J’aime beaucoup le podcast de québecbalado, car ont en apprend plus sur les nouveaux média web et les nouveaux podcast au québec
As a social media observer and nationally published journalist, Ben Watson (Bitpakkit) has consistently provided me with the kind of timely insight and context I need to deliver coherent, forward-throwing stories to my readers.
Great list…
Ben Watson. Hands down
Decisions, decisions…..I have to vote…
Jon Hamilton all the way!!! How many times can we vote????
Decisions, decisions…….who to vote for…
Jon Hamilton all the way!! Can I vote more then once??
Good luck Jon.
JON ALL THE WAY!
Thanks for doing this David as it definitely pushes our whole industry forward a notch. I echo other readers that voting for one person on this list is very difficult. Honored tho!
Go Jon ~ You’ve got my vote!
I vote to take me off the list – I look up to way too many of these guys to be among them here.
Jon has changed the way conservative organizations look at social media and its ability to reach consumers.
Go Jon!
Jon’s got my vote
@Dave Forde – Wow, I just found out I was on this list… feeling suitably humbled, thank you.
My URL (if needed) is http://dannybrown.me

Thanks again – and here’s to everyone continuing their great work in social media awareness
Danny.
Ha, I hear you Dave, I’m in the same boat
Some great names up there, and everyone should be applauded for the work they’re doing (and you would be on any social media list anyway, my friend)
All the best in the competition Jon!
You deserve the title
Alessandra
Thanks for including me.
I think your picture of “Jon Hamilton” above may have been meant to be me. There are photos of me here and there on the Web, but if you need one email me to let me know.
Oh, no .. that “Jon Hamilton” was meant to be him (apologies, Jon).
Dave if you want / need a photo of me let me know.
Jon
Good luck Boyd!
I some day wish to win this.
Good luck to everyone!
Dave – tried it in both Chrome and IE7 today and it didn’t work in either but it’s no biggies. Enjoy the holidays and don’t worry about widgets. Actually that may be my motto for 2009: Never worry about a widget.
And I’d like at least three more votes please.
Awesome list, I second everyone – have been lucky to meet many of the great men in this list, and I’m good friends with them. I am not an influencer in social media, that’s for sure! I just use Twitter, blogs, Flickr and every other Web 2.0 app as my playground.
FYI, this link doesn’t work:
