The Vancouver Convention Centre is now sporting the Omnivex look.
With over 170 screens throughout the convention center, Omnivex software allows for easier navigation of the large facility. The Ontario-based company’s software ties into the existing software to create a uniquely adaptive program. And with the Convention Centre’s almost 500,000 square feet of space, the software allows the screens to show dynamic content, and updates screens as needed – allowing for information to be placed in the right areas.
“Omnivex software is well suited to these types of large installations, because it automates the process of maintaining accurate and up-to-date information on all of the displays throughout the facility, thus reducing operating costs,” said Jeff Collard, president of Omnivex.
With the Vancouver Convention Centre’s new green initiatives – with the building being constructed to LEED gold certification – the software allows for the equipment itself to be part of that initiative. According to Gregory Davey, associate director Olympics, IP and broadcast services, GM convention centre services, Bell Canada,”The Omnivex software allows us to remotely turn on and off all of the display hardware associated with the digital signage network, prolonging the life of the equipment and reducing energy costs.”

Hi Elize,
the photo you posted for the Vancouver Convention story seems to be the wrong pic. I can send you an updated photo if you are able to use it. Thanks
