A few months ago we broke the news about Transcontinental’s acquisition of permission-based email marketing solution provider ThinData and today the company has announced its purchase of Redwood Custom Communications.
“Transcontinental’s primary goal is to help our customers identify, reach and retain their target audience,” said François Olivier, President and Chief Executive Officer, Transcontinental. “Custom communications is at the frontier between traditional publishing and direct marketing, and offers the potential to unlock great value for our clients. We’re thrilled to have a leader like Redwood Custom Communications on our team.”
Redwood has offices in Toronto and New York, clients include Aeroplan, Canadian Automobile Association (CAA), Home Depot, Mazda, Procter & Gamble, Sears and Sobeys. The company offers customers branded communications programs and employees 130 staff. No amount has been disclosed of the cost of the acquisition, but Eric Schneider, Chief Executive Officer of Redwood will stay on board as part of the new entity.
