Monster Worldwide had their database hacked last week but was quick to launch an investigation and take corrective measure, according to a company spokesperson “information illegally accessed does not include resumes, social security numbers or personal financial data.” With more and more services going web-based the threat of personal and company data has become a big concern. I don’t want to cry wolf and say that no data is safe, but it does make you think and wonder, how secure are some web sites?
