Talkster’s looking to take the pain out of enterprise communication

James Wanless, President & COO of Toronto based Talkster has been burning the midnight owl for the last few months getting ready for Monday’s beta release of their new solution that is looking to help enterprises better manage the cost of mobile telephony. While the VOIP (Voice Over IP) market place is becoming increasingly crowed as TechCruch’s Michael Arrington comments on a post about the release of Talkster they seem to have a very good solution.
Their service will allow for you to make calls from any mobile device to Instant Messenger services such as GTalk or Windows Live, other VOIP phones, landlines and other SIP services such as Gizmo. Contacts can be added manually or exported through your Outlook, Yahoo! or GMail contact lists.
This is a pretty interesting startup that’s come up with a solution for enterprises to better manage both the cost of mobile telephony and the management of all these accounts. Lots of startups are chasing the “cheaper LD calling” market, but that’s a commodity game, and doesn’t really help the business market.
