Week That WasApple released their updated iPhone, the 3G S two weeks ago, despite that Research In Motion (RIM) continues to hold their own and even beat analysis predictions for the financial earnings.  The Blackberry had an 80% increase in consumer subscribers.  Total revenue is up 3.4 billion, up 53% from last year.  Do you think Jim Balsillie is afraid of the Apple iPhone or Palm Pre

MySpace - Talk about a double whammy, MySpace lays off employees and according to TechCrunch asks their employees to not cash their pay check.

With Michael Jackson’s passing last week it set the Internet a buzz, first with rumours and questions as to the actual state of his health, then once confirmed it shout down every major news source. Google, Yahoo and AOL owned TMZ.com all reported spikes in traffic, Google News was inaccessible for as long as 25 minutes around 2:45 PM EDT on Thursday. I’m sure that the telecos also saw a spike in their traffic, I received several text and Blackberry message during the same time frame.

It is an early Christmas present for David U.K. as he has now officially named Managing Director of Heavy.com Worldwide where he’ll be responsible for overseeing all revenue streams of the popular online video site.  Prior to the promotion, David was Vice President and General Manager of Heavy Canada where he helped to triple revenues since launching in 2007.
