Calgary based illumiCell has signed a multi-year agreement with Sympatico/MSN to jointly market the company’s local search service on the Windows Live (MSN) Messenger network. illumiCell’s technology provides local search service capability that works over instant messaging, which can work over computers or mobile devices such as their partner Research In Motion (RIM). The Sympatico/MSN continue to be the dominate portal in Canada with 19.8 million unique visitors experiencing its entertainment, information and communication services. Windows Live (MSN) Messenger is used by more Canadians than any other instant messaging service with more than 15.4 million users (according to comScore).
