Montreal-based start up StandoutJobs.com has secured a round of financing of $2 million from iNovia Capital, a seed and early stage venture capital firm. Standout Jobs was founded in February 2007 by Ben Yoskovitz, Fred Ngo and Austin Hill as a solution to help solve company’s online recruitment challenges and offer a more streamlined approached to managing applicants, as well as offers tools to help company’s use the recruitment process for branding.
“We’re delighted that iNovia Capital shares our belief in the power of new technologies to bridge the gap between great companies and great job candidates,” said Benjamin Yoskovitz, CEO of Standout Jobs. “This investment will enable us to further develop and market our interactive career site technology to small and medium sized companies.”
The company’s latest offering, RECEPTION was recently launched and is a do-it-yourself interactive career site that leverages social media tools and principles, including video, blogging and widgets, to showcase a company’s culture and team.
Some of Standout Jobs clients include b5media, Freshbooks, Jangl, Mobivox, Socialight and EQO.
