Social networking continues to be the popular online property to launch these days, and the newest entrant in Canada is from Montreal’s Luc Verville and Grant Carter . The two have combined social networking and online entertainment to create a social life networking site called Capazoo. The site combines features from popular social networking site such as MySpace, YouTube, Revver and others by offering users the ability to post videos, photos and content. Capazoo offers a bit of a twist and allows members to earn ‘Zoops’, which are Capazoo points that can be converted to real cash - through member-to-member tipping, through referral of friends and by sharing in Capazoo’s advertising revenues and corporate profits.
While the company has been able to raise some where close to $25 million in private funding it is also relying upon membership fees of $35 per year for a business account while other levels are free.
