There’s been some interesting shifts over the last month with some of Canada’s agencies and more specially their focus on social media. The first is Eli Singer who moved over too Segal Communications to head up the company’s efforts with Facebook, who is the official advertising rep for Facebook advertising in Canada. Prior to Segal, Eli helped Cundari launch their own social media practice, called Social POV. I caught up with Eli and had to chat about his new role, click on the video below to watch.
The other interesting move is Michael Seaton who left Scotiabank’s online team too join Thornley Fallis. There has been some interesting chatter as to how a banker will be able to handles things in the fast paced agency world, but time will tell.

Dave,
I was never a banker. I’ve always said I was a marketer that just happened to work within Financial Services
As for agency life, before joining Scotiabank I worked on the agency/vendor side of world. Really not too much difference at the end of the day - aside from the fact that I used sign off on invoices and now I issue them!
Thanks for the mention.
