Simon JenningsA few weeks ago I wrote about the impressive growth that Olive Canada Network has had in such a short time frame and “wondered if Simon Jennings has the magic touch?” Well it looks like he has and parent company’s Torstar Digital and Gesca Digital have noticed and appointed Simon to President of Olive Canada Network. Since its launch in January 2006, Simon was General Manager of Olive Canada Network and
LiveDeal where he grew the company from five to well over 50 employees and the team has won numerous ad deals throughout North America to represent various online properties.

“Simon’s contribution to the creation and growth of Olive Canada Network has been nothing short of spectacular, ” said Tomer Strolight, President of Torstar Digital. “His incredible leadership and keen business sense have been instrumental in the exceptional growth and strong relationships Olive Canada Network has built with Canada’s leading buyers and planners of digital advertising.”

For over 10 years Simon has played a key leadership role in helping to shape the Canadian Internet advertising and marketing industry through his volunteer work with industry associations such as the Internet Advertising Bureau of Canada (IAB Canada), Advertising Club of Toronto, and Association of Internet Marketing and Sales (AIMS). His career has included five years at Yahoo! Canada as National Sales Director. Prior to joining Yahoo! Canada, he spent five years at DoubleClick Canada, leading the media sales business as National Sales Director. Jennings also developed and launched ClickThrough Interactive, Canada’s first online advertising network in the early 1990s.
