MuchMusic is pushing the envelope once again, their latest move allows fans to contribute on-air content from their cell phone, webcam, or digital camera through the MuchMusic site in a new offering called “SHOW ME YOURS”. Fan-generated content can be uploaded and viewed
today at muchmusic.com, for Much shows MUCHADRENALINE and MUCHONDEMAND. This announcement is joined by the launch of a crop of nine exclusive new shows for on-demand broadband video site MuchAXS.
User generated content is top of mind on many marketers that are looking towards the Internet, David Kines, VP Music & Youth Services for CHUM Television says “Integrating fan-generated content with our on-air programming
brings our online community even closer together.”

How do you create brand evangelists?

Simple - give them the ability to upload their own content and share it with friends and give them the ability to make new ones. SHOW ME YOURS makes fans part of the show by allowing them to upload videos and photos from their mobile phone, desktop, or straight from their webcam to muchmusic.com, with the best clips airing on TV. Once uploaded, this content becomes viewable on muchmusic.com. With SHOW ME YOURS, anyone in Canada can be the star of their favourite program, and Canadians can see what other MuchMusic fans from across the country are posting.
SHOW ME YOURS is delivered with user-generated content partner Filemobile which is a Toronto based start-up.
