Sarah Jessica Parker look out, SheDoestheCity.com has launched and ready to give women of Toronto a daily diversion with some humour, edge and often categorically feisty. The new site is the brainchild of Jennifer McNeely, is is looking to be the “twisted sister of girly websites offering everything from event listings to style advice, penned by a cornucopia of heroines who aren’t afraid of a little fun.”
SheDoesTheCity.com is not afraid to ask those hard-hitting questions for the Would You Rather section and it is hard to leave the equally hilarious voyeuristic T’was Said section, which lets you in on highly ridiculous, and at times, alarming conversations overheard by the SDTC team in places like the Dufferin Bus or in Trinity Bellwoods Park. The homepage also features a wacky daily Top 5 list and a must-see In Video segment that’s short enough to sneak in between meetings at the office.
“By going on SDTC you are befriending a crew of twelve women with diverse interests, hobbies, and pastimes that can’t wait to grab you by the elbow, stick a shot of tequila in your hand and whisk you away to explore the city. We’re out until 4am checking out the underground events, the after-hour parties and all the amazing culture, food, drink and art in this city. I’m here to help you find it.â€
The site will also feature a fashion section which will deliver a street savvy portfolio of some of the coolest dressed kids around, I Love the Nightlife to help you Plan Your Week with a round-up of the sassiest parties in town, Her Career, a section devoted to career profiles of successful women about town, offering the inside scoop and success tips for you to clinch that dream job. Also a bi-weekly email newsletter called, The Scribble where company founder Jen McNeely will give personal rant about everything from weekend ideas to encounters with sumo wrestlers, new spa treatments and tours to the food terminal, her exploits will have you wanting more.
