The quality of television that companies deliver to us today certainly isn’t the same black and white experience that I grew up with, and only continues to get better year after year. Last week Quebec-based Videotron Ltd. signed a letter of agreement with Samsung Electronics to deliver
Tru2Way service using Samsung’s High-Definition, Multi-Room Digital Video Recorder (DVR) solution to Canada.
The Tru2Way will feature Samsung’s set-top boxes provided to customers with a heightened media experience, including high-definition video and functionality for recording media files.
“We are committed to meeting growing consumer needs for personalized media by offering Tru2Way-enabled devices,” said Daniel Proulx, senior vice president Engineering at Videotron. “A strong collaboration between Videotron and Samsung will result in an interoperable and more abundant home entertainment service.”
The addition of Samsung Tru2Way-enabled will help Videotron expand their current service of offering over 350 digital channels and practical interactive services to its customers. Samsung set-top boxes will be available throughout Videotron’s retail network.
