Clothing retailer Roots has entered into an agreement with Montreal-based iCongo to help expand their current online ecommerce offering in hopes to increase sales conversions. The entire catologue of items Roots sells will now be available to customers in both Canada and the United States. As part of the new system orders and shipments will now be able to originate easily at any Roots location to better serve its customers. Roots also plans to leverage the system to offer incentives to to store employees to convert single channel customers to become multi-channel customers, which should reduce the concern of cannibalization between stores and online.
“A large draw for us choosing iCongo is the platform’s cross-channel capabilities, this will allow us to have a much more consumer centric approach when serving customers. Additionally, it will also allow us to turn inventory faster, achieve higher revenue both in our stores and online, gain better customer satisfaction, and increase brand loyalty,” says Don Green, Roots Co-Founder. “Another draw was iCongo’s preexisting integration with our point of sale technology that will allow us to automate many of our online catalog management processes that we’re currently completing manually.”
Roots will also leverage the analytics solution built into the iCongo sute of tool to help better plan replenishment of stories and inventory.
