In a North American first, Rogers Wireless has launched a new service called Rogers VISION, that will offer subscribers video calling or turning your mobile device into a webcam to allow for face-to-face calling in real time to your friends, family and business associates. As part of the launch Rogers called upon the “Captain himself”, Canadian actor William Shatner. Rogers VISION runs on their new High Speed
Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) network, which they say is the fastest wireless network in Canada currently available in Ontario’s Golden Horseshoe and will eventually extend across the country later this year.

As part of the offering subscribers can also get access to YouTube’s Top 50 YouTube clips, and of course access to the Rogers MusicStore where you can download RealTrax ring tunes - MP3-quality music clips taken from real songs by original artists from record labels such as EMI Recorded Music, Universal Music, SonyBMG and Warner Music, as well as a large number of independent record labels. As well users can purchase and download their favourite songs to their mobile devices.

Customers will also be able to access video-on-demand services including ET Canada, CSI, CNN;Mobile Television to access your favourite TV and video programs with incredible clarity; radio-on-demand, featuring live XM Satellite radio.
