Rogers To Layoff Hundreds Of Employees

News of layoffs are never a good thing, but several sources have confirmed that Rogers will be laying off as many as 300 employees, many of which will be in management and head office roles. With the $1.07 billion joint majority purchase of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment between Bell and Rogers last December something was bound to give eventually. Bell also made another big move recently with its $3.38 billion dollar acquisition of Astral Media earlier this month. All signs that point to Rogers starting to rethink its position within the market place.
