Reader’s Digest launches new healthy lifestyle magazine for Canadian women, Best Health (www.besthealthmag.ca) is the attempt to capture today’s women online, and a new print publication which hits newsstands across Canada this week. According to Best Health Editor, Bonnie Munday the new publication will look to “break through the clutter by providing insightful guidance and practical advice to Canadian women in an inspiring and approachable manner, we are committed to establishing a long-term relationship with them.”

Some of the sections include, Look Great, Get Healthy, Eat Well and Embrace Life. Each is structured like a magazine in itself, a self-contained package of information and inspiration. The premiere issue’s content includes eco-conscious beauty products, new thinking on breast cancer and fertility, healthy on-the-go lunch recipes from Canada’s fresh food chef Paul Finkelstein, and ways to get toned and fit for summer. The issue also reveals the fascinating results of two exclusive Best Health special reports - one examining Canada’s healthiest cities and another unraveling the wellness concerns of 500 women across the country.

Best Health will have a bit of an up hill batter entering a market place that is already dominated by strong players such as Rogers and Transcontinental who have each been focusing and acquiring small publishers in this space for years.
