Rare Method Interactive adds new management team

Calgary-based Interactive agency Rare Method has announced several management appointments months after months after the departure of former President Roger Jewett. Tom Short has been appointed as the new President of the Calgary-based advertising agency. Tom has served as Vice President for the agency over the last 4 years, as well as a member of the Board of Directors and will take on the new role effective immediately. Mr. Short has 20 years of experience in branding, traditional and digital marketing solutions, joining Rare Method in 2003 when Rare Method acquired his former agency, iDEA MACHiNE, an early leader in interactive marketing.

James Waddock has also been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, and was previously in a Senior Strategy role since joining in 2006.

Nick Noronha who was previously the agency’s controller since late 2006 is now taking on the role as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Noronha, a Chartered Accountant, gained nearly 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, holding a Senior Associate position with Hudson and Company LLP and the Assistant Controller position at Pulse Data Inc.

Eric White will lead the U.S. team as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Salt Lake City Office. Joining him in the day-to-day management of the U.S. operations will be David Blain, Executive Vice President, Business Development and Jeff Olsen who will assume the role of Chief Creative Officer for Rare Method. With a combined experience of over 50 years, working with some of the largest traditional agencies in the world on Fortune 500 brands, the Salt Lake City team brings valuable insights and experience for the continued growth of Rare Method as a top tier agency.
