Over the years I’ve become a bit of a connector, people have asked me for recommendations on which social media agency to use for a new campaign. Which email marketing solution is the best for a medium-sized 
corporation? Looking back at the last few months being able to make the right business introductions has resulted in a few hundred thousand dollars of new business opportunities for those people and companies that I’ve been able to help match. This hasn’t been something that I went to school for, but has resulted in meeting a lot of interesting people and a nice consulting practice.
Is there a way to do more to connect people?
Absolutely, so with that I’ll introduce the Profectio Online MarketPlace (beta), an online place where you can get recommendations on various products and services that you need from Canada’s Connected Community. Companies can submit their profile and be added into the database and other community members can use this form to get recommendations on products and services. The recommendations are based on based on reputation, either by companies I’ve used or know someone who’s used.
Over the next few weeks I’ll add new features to the program, but for now make sure that you’re company is listed in the database.
