From youths all the way to the retired, everyday more and more people are using some type of social media product or service, whether it be Facebook, MySpace, blogs, podcasts the marketplace is flooded with new things everyday. As they become easier to use and more and more sites leverage the ability to upload photos, videos and share with their friends it makes they sites more addictive to the point where they are being used in the workplace. The Ontario government was quite to put a ban into place on sites such as Facebook, but there are still a growing number of people using these tools
Although the Ontario government banned the usage of social networking sites such as Facebook, many employees around the world are still used on a daily basis in the workplace. Is this a good thing? Are corporate employees that use social media products/ service such as Facebook, podcasts, blogs and wikis more productive in their job?
