Ottawa-based Overlay.TV has announced they’ve closed a $4.6M round of financing with Celtic House Venture Partners, Tech Capital Partners and EdgeStone Capital Partners. It looks like “$4.6M” is the magic number for the company as this is their second round of the exact same number this year.
Online video adoption and usage has hit new levels in 2008 with consumers flocking to sites such as Facebook, YouTube and mobile devices such as the iPhone and Blackberry devices. The company has already set up deals to provide their platform to companies such as Nettwerk Music Group, Hollywood Records, KidzBop and Transcontinental Media.
