Olive Canada Network doubles in a year

Olive Canada NetworkEver since his move from Yahoo! Canada, Simon Jennings, General Manager of the Olive Canada Network has been quick to grow the advertising network to reaching 14.8 million unique Canadian visitors monthly (source: comScore Metrix Canada) which has put them on track to doubling their operation since launching June 2006. The industry is hot again and consumers are soaking up products and services online which of course helps to drive advertising spending and the channels that are represented by Olive Canada including iVillage.com, cyberpresse.ca , CNET.com, Maxim Online, toronto.com, tetesaclaques.tv, thestar.com and LiveDeal.ca. Today they’ve announced the addition of 12 new members to the team including:

Rosemary Botero, National Account Manager (Toronto)

Rosemary brings seven years of online media experience to the Olive Canada Network. Prior to her current post as a National Account Manager, Rosemary put her client services experience to use at Yahoo! Canada, UpTrend Media and AOL Canada.

Chuck Breckenridge, Executive Assistant (Toronto)

Chuck has been involved in media for more than seven years starting as an Administrative Assistant with Harris Media. He served as an Office and Client Services manager at MediaMatrix Communications Inc. and was most recently an Office Administrator for Yahoo! Canada.

Adriana Fleming, Strategic Account Executive (Toronto)

Adriana brings 15 years of media sales experience to the Olive Canada Network, including a stint as Director of National Sales at Pattison Outdoor. Most recently, Adriana worked as a National Account Executive at AOL Canada. She is fluent in Italian and holds a degree in Business.

Tessa Hadzipetros, Ad Trafficker (Toronto)

Tessa previously worked at Yahoo Canada! in Sales Strategy and as a Campaign Coordinator for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She works collaboratively within the Sales Organization at Olive Canada Network – ensuring network sites are tagged to correspond to the network’s hierarchy and advertisements are trafficked promptly and accurately.

Kathleen Holland, Inventory Manager (Toronto)

Kathleen joins the Olive Canada Network team from Yahoo! Canada. She spent three years on the client side with Sony Canada, and prior to that, three years with Sympatico. After transferring from the University of Toronto’s BA program, Kathleen earned a diploma in Book and Magazine Publishing and has since accumulated extensive sales experience in online, broadcast, books and magazines.

Daniel Lavoie, Account Manager (Montreal)

Daniel holds a degree in Communications/Advertising that he completed in Quebec City’s Laval University. Daniel joins the Olive Canada Network team as a National Account Manager after four years working in media, two as an Account Manager for Branchez-Vous! and two as a National Sales Coordinator La Presse.

Darren Melanson, Strategic Account Executive (Toronto)

Darren joins the Olive Canada Network team as a 16-year media veteran. He graduated from The University of Western Ontario before working in sales for Metroland, CanWest and most recently Sun Media.

Celeste Mussio, National Account Manager (Toronto)
Celeste joins the Olive Canada Network team directly from toronto.com where she worked as Media Sales Coordinator. Celeste holds a BACS from The University of Western Ontario and has also worked as an English Language Instructor with the Nova Group and as a Student Employment Officer for Human Resources Canada.

Barbara Rowell, Strategic Account Executive (Toronto)

Barbara has more than 20 years experience in media business, including seven years conducting media planning for JWT. She has also spent considerable time in advertising sales in various media magazines, including Harrowsmith Country Life, TV Guide, Canadian Living, and Elm Street. Most recently, Barbara worked at Sun Media Corporation where she sold the publishing company’s daily papers out of their Corporate Sales Office.

Caroline Saey, Account Manager (Montreal)

Caroline Saey has worked in customer service for more than 12 years developing her professionalism and leadership in Montreal, London, Toronto and Punta Cuna. She joins the Olive Canada Network team from a stint at La Presse. Caroline is an active volunteer mediator and editor of a web site that provides help and assistance to minorities.

Erin Thomson, National Account Manager (Toronto)

Erin joins the Olive Canada Network team with experience in both media and sales. She has been involved with many sports associated positions, including time as the Traffic Coordinator for the NHL Network, Sales & Marketing Coordinator for the Ottawa 67’s Hockey Club, and as the Marketing & Communications Coordinator with Executive Fitness Leaders Inc.

Kiersten Trafford, Strategic Account Executive (Toronto)

Kiersten joins the Olive Canada Network team directly from toronto.com where she was involved in local sales as Sales Executive and Product Manager. Keirsten has a BA with a double major in Psychology and Business and holds a graduate degree in Education.
