Nurun reports $3.1 million revenue for Q2

Interactive agency Nurun, a sub subsidiary of Quebecor Media reported its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2007 with revenues of $21.8 million in the second quarter of 2007, up $3.1 million or 16.6% from $18.7 million in the same period of 2006.
Highlights Include:
- revenues from Europe and Asia saw and increase of 32.7% during the second quarter
- Nurun recorded revenues of $42.9 million, compared with $36.7 million in the same period of 2006, up $6.2 million or 16.7%. Growth fell short of expectations only in the United States, due to the loss of a major account at the end of 2006
- net loss of $0.3 million, or $0.01 per share, in the second quarter of 2007, compared with net earnings of $1.0 million, or $0.03 per share, in the same quarter of 2006
“Nurun continued its progression with sustained revenue growth in each of its territories, except the United States, where the loss of a major customer at the end of 2006 continues to impact our results,” said Jacques-Herve Roubert, President and Chief Executive Officer. “At the same time, the Company’s profitability was affected by the recognition of other charges. Nurun remains in a strong position and well equipped for continued growth in all its markets.”
