Newegg.com, the California-based e-commerce company offering computer hardware and software, consumer electronics and communications products has expanded into Canada and launched Newegg.ca. E-commerce in both Canada and the United States has been a tricky business over the years with consumers expecting a much higher customer experience than more online retails originally offered. According to Bernard Luthi, Vice President Merchandising, “We believe we have a compelling and winning formula for success online which will resonate with Canadian consumers looking for more than just the status quo

“We are thrilled to be able to share our world-class products and services with our neighbors to the north,” said Michael Amkreutz, vice president of product management, Newegg. “Why shouldn’t Canadians enjoy the service, selection and pricing customers have come to expect from Newegg.com? We have planned this expansion for some time, and now we are ready to bring our selection, pricing and overall value proposition to Canadian consumers.”

Timely launch for the company to expand into Canada, but will they make it on Futureshop.ca’s radar as competition in time for the holiday rush?
