MySpace and Rogers Wireless have teamed up in an exclusive partnership to access what they call their “lifestyle portal” to edit profiles, make comments and send/ receive message through your Rogers enabled mobile devices. MySpace launched a local Canadian community in May 2007 and now has local networks in 18 countries across the world including United States, UK, Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Latin America, Switzerland, Sweden, and Austria.
Considering Facebook’s current dominance in the social networking space in Canada it makes sense that MySpace would leverage Rogers existing 6.9 million customers base through their two networks which include Rogers Wireless and Fido.
