Description: MARKETING MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the development and implementation of all Marketing campaigns.
• Build and manage a marketing plan/calendar. Provide recommendations for tools and resources that allow for greater efficiency/effectiveness of this plan.
• Establish cross-promotional marketing initiatives with other companies with similar target audiences.
• Book all media within the advertising campaigns including, out of home, print, radio, etc.
• Manage the development and execution of special projects or marketing programs.
* Contribute to the development of a loyalty program.
• Participate in the development of a more comprehensive digital strategy including contribution to website, email and other digital content.
• Operate as an objective partner to lead development and execution of marketing projects/ programs that deliver on objectives and within budget.
• Partner with Brand Management and Store Operations to develop communication for special projects/marketing rollouts.
• Partner with creative team in developing the seasonal campaigns, organizing of photo shoots and managing the corresponding deadlines for execution.
• Work closely with the Wholesale Departments in ensuring that all Wholesale initiatives are within the branding strategy and corporate identity.
• Oversee the approvals of all creative for Corporate and Wholesale marketing projects.
• Manage in-season updates caused by changes from original marketing plans.
• Anticipates issues and provides practical solutions and plans.
• Ensure all Mall-Coop initiatives are fulfilled.
• Proactively orchestrate plans that ensure smooth project development and execution.
• Coordination of events in conjunction with the Public Relations Department.
• Initiate and drive projects with the ability to identify out of scope opportunity.
• Identify out of scope project opportunities and drive development and execution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ARE:
• Typically requires degree or equivalent plus 3-5 years related experience in retail marketing or account management
• Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate viewpoint of the department with peers and up to senior director-level management in other areas.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to lead and influence teams to create smart collaborative decisions
• Experience working with a creative organization
• Ability to understand and use company objectives as a filter for all decisions
• Strong internal and external customer focus, including ability to think in terms of customer experience/perspective
• Effective project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to manage, motivate and develop staff
• Ambitious, dedicated and wanting to make a difference
• An expressed understanding of ROOTS brand (including aesthetic and taste level)
• Comfortable with operating in a fast-paced environment with high level of ambiguity
