Ludia to create interactive game series based on popular the American Idol show in multi-year deal

Interactive entertainment company, Ludia has been selected to create online games based on the highly successful American Idol television series in partnership with Interactive FremantleMedia Enterprises who is a licensor for American Idol. Ludia has created various cross-platform games based on shows such as the Price as Right and Hell’s Kitchen. The company also integrates product placement opportunities as part of the entertainment experience, enabling advertisers to work in a branded message to targeted audiences.
“Creating games for ‘American Idol,’ a genre-defining television franchise, is a key milestone for Ludia,” explained Alex Thabet, Founder and CEO of Ludia Inc. “This deal reinforces our strategy of partnering powerhouse brands with our unique entertainment products.”
The American Idol online games experience is slated to coincide with the show’s 2009 season, and will be available on AmericanIdol.com and Ludia’s other major online destination partners.
