LG Helps Celebrate Best Short Films With LG Life’s Good FilmFest

LG Life’s Good FilmFest, a competition to help celebrate short film festival featuring entries from 21 countries worldwide will celebrate its Grand Finale January 28, 2010 in Toronto at the Mod Club Theatre. The FilmFest celebrates the best HD short films from around the world and the ultimate HD experience that only LG HDTVs can offer.

The lucky filmmaker will be award a grand prize of $100,000, as selected by a newly announced panel of notables from the worlds of music, sports and motion pictures. The panel includes:

- Jaime King, actress (Sin City, The Spirit, My Bloody Valentine 3D)
- K-OS, Platinum selling and Juno Award winning singer/songwriter
- Laurie May, Co-President and Co-Founder of Maple Pictures
- Steve Nash, National Basketball Association (NBA) superstar and two-time NBA Most Valuable Player

George Stroumboulopoulos from CBC’s “The Hour” will be on hand as the event host.

“The goal of the LG Life’s Good FilmFest was to create a film festival with no barriers to entry – regardless of experience, location or economic status,” says Tim Barnes from LG. “This borderless FilmFest is the perfect complement to the borderless LG HDTVs recently showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Life’s Good when you combine the finest HD content with the finest HDTVs.”
