Komunik sets out to acquire Globel Direct for $3.7 million

Montreal-based Komunik has set its sights to grow the company in Western Canada with their latest acquisition of Global Direct, a
business communications solution provider for out-sourced marketing, billing, customer support and fulfillment. Komunik will purchase Globel for $3.7 million in cash and up to an additional $500,000 to management creditors of Globel payable in cash and/or Komunik Shares as determined by Komunik. Globel earned revenues of $7.8 million last year, and employs 72 people in Alberta and British Columbia. Komunik is studying further acquisition possibilities.
Upon completion and regulatory approval this will mark the second acquisiton for Komunik in 2007, the first was Datamark in February. Komunik is looking at other possible acquisitions in the future.
