JumpTV has announced several new hires to the company’s sales team which is lead by Senior Vice President, Bill Stephen. Mel Adler joins the team as Director, Ad Sales – Northeast, based in New York City. Mr. Adler most recently held the position of VP, Sales & Marketing for the Magpie Group, a media consulting and training company. Mel was formally the Chief Operating Officer of Cross-Media Entertainment, focusing on multi-platform distribution and sale of entertainment programming. He has held positions with National Lampoon, Clear Channel Interactive, Tribune Broadcasting and Malrite Communications.
Chris Sniffen joins the team as Director, Ad Sales – Northeast, based in New York City, with extensive online and television sales experience. Most recently, Mr. Sniffen held the position of Director of Sales at Flatiron Media in New York, a digital representation firm for women’s health sites. Before Flatiron, he worked as Director of Integrated Sales for National Lampoon, the most recognized brand in comedy. Chris helped launch National Lampoon’s IPTV Channel and Humor Network. Mr. Sniffen has also managed television sales for NBC, ABC and Fox.
Diego Victoria joins the team as Director, Ad Sales – Multi-Cultural. Prior to joining the sales team, Mr. Victoria was General Manager of SportsYA, which is owned by JumpTV. SportsYA focuses primarily on Latin American soccer, but also provides around the clock editorial coverage of sporting events from around the globe including auto racing, baseball, tennis, boxing, basketball, golf and hockey. Mr. Victoria’s past experiences with SportsYA and his understanding of Latin American markets as a Colombian national, gives JumpTV a unique edge in the Hispanic advertising market.
Brian Farrell joins the team as Director, Ad Sales – Midwest and will be based in Chicago. Before joining JumpTV, Brian served as the Senior Strategic Partnership Account Executive for WebMD.com where he was responsible for selling large, embedded partnership programs to clients such as Kraft Foods, Quaker Oats, ConAgra Foods and General Motors among others. Mr. Farrell has also held Account Manager and Account Executive positions with Men’s Health and BestLife Magazines and USA Today.
Stephen Jessop joins the team as Director, Ad Sales – JumpTV Cycling.TV, and joins from the London Property News/News International, where he most recently served as the Head of Sales. During his tenure Mr. Jessop was responsible for the management of five titles within the company portfolio as well as editorial and finance. Stephen has held positions with Business Media, MSN, ZDNet and United Provincial Newspapers.
