Manager, Client Communications
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications this role requires a self-starter who can work well with a team, juggle a number of priorities, and excel in a fast-paced, changing environment. The candidate should have an undergraduate degree in the humanities or social sciences, together with approximately 5 to 7 years’ experience in corporate communications.
The Communications team serves as a key component of PwC’s organizational culture and effectiveness. We contribute to building the firm’s reputation in target markets, and help develop beneficial business opportunities and relationships. Our team supports the firm across a number of functional program responsibilities, including executive and firm communications, media and public relations and thought leadership. This is a contract role to cover a one year maternity leave.
Responsibilities:
- Provide counsel to a range of internal clients to help them successfully implement firm wide, national projects and support their need to communicate with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Perform other communication duties as required, including writing, structural editing and proofreading content for various marketing projects.
Qualifications:
- The position will suit a detail-oriented self-starter who can work well within a team, and excel in a fast-paced, corporate environment.
The successful candidate will have the following credentials:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on producing quality work products.
- Post-secondary degree or higher in the humanities or social sciences.
- Demonstrated understanding of best practice corporate communications approaches, vehicles, strategies and tactics.
- Progressive responsibilities totalling five years’ or more in a corporate communications environment, with preference given to those currently in a management position in a professional services firm environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills (direct people management experience will be considered an asset).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint.
- Ability to operate under minimum supervision.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A post-graduate certificate from a recognized university/college in Corporate Communications will be considered an additional asset.
- Writing samples required.
