Yahoo Co-Founder and CEO Jerry Yang made an appearance at CES earlier this week to deliver his keynote and share the new vision for Yahoo! and give consumers Life! The company plans to make their Yahoo Mail, MyYahoo. search and the Yahoo home page suite of products an integral part of our daily surfing lives as they look to differentiate themselves from rivals Google and Microsoft. For quite some time Yahoo has played a distant third in this bitter rival but this new play is starts to have some analysts nod their head in agreement as we can finally start to see how the company will “successfully” integrate recent acquisitions such as Zimbra. Also as part of the announcement was a new version of the Yahoo Go mobile platform which Yahoo! Canada has a strategic alliance with Rogers which was recently extended. (find link) Yang took back the CEP helm over six months ago as part of attempts to bring the Internet giant back around and claim market share from competitors such as Google who dominated headlines last year.
