Aside from the news that Google wants to pull out of China, Google has also announced they are going to be rolling out some update to Google Docs which will make it an online storage place to upload and access your files. Google will be giving 250 MB of space for FREE and then for a small fee you can access additional storage. This is an update to their product previously called GDrive.
Good news for Google and Google fans, but once again puts Google in direct competition with startups who currently have adoring fans such as those who use Dropbox, Drop.io, Box.net, all whom have a freemium-based service model.
So what is your take, is Google good or bad for the startup ecosystem?
