Infobright has announced the appointment of Susan Davis as VP of Marketing and Laurence Gutcher as CFO. The appointments are also part of an announcement that the innovative analytic data warehouse provider has also expanded operations to the in the US with an office in Boston, where Susan Davis will be based.
Davis brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, product management and software development to her role at Infobright. Prior to joining Infobright, she was vice president of marketing for Egenera, a pioneer in the virtualization of data center infrastructure. At Egenera, she launched the marketing and product management functions and helped grow the company to more than $100 million in annual sales in five years. Prior to Egenera, she was director of product management at Lucent Technologies/Ascend Communications where she was responsible for the release and launch of the telecommunications industry’s first commercially available softswitch. Earlier, as director of ISV relations for Stratus Computer, she developed and managed relationships with the computer industry’s top 50 ISVs. Davis began her career at Honeywell/Bull, where she held a number of engineering positions in software development and support. She holds a B.S. in economics from Cornell University.

Laurence Gutcher takes the helm as the company’s CFO, Gutcher will lead the development and implementation of financial best practices throughout company operations and manage important administrative functions such as human resources.  Gutcher joins Infobright from PriceMetrix Inc., a privately held company specializing in advisor productivity solutions for the full-service brokerage industry. During his tenure there, he successfully completed a second round of equity financing and drove the annual strategic and business planning process. Prior to PriceMetrix, Gutcher served as CFO and corporate secretary at Necho Systems Corp., Nevex Software Technologies Inc., and INEX Corporation where, among other duties, he led successful exit strategies for these companies, as well as various debt and equity financings. He started his career at Bell Canada where he held a variety of management positions. Gutcher is a certified management account (CMA) and holds an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a B.A.Sc. from the University of Toronto. He also studied at Handelshögskolan, the Stockholm School of Economics.
