GJP Advertising gains 5 new Managing Directors

Since launching in 1991, Peter Jeffery and Alan Gee, Co-Founders of GJP Advertising has provided traditional, interactive and direct advertising solutions for such clients as XM Canada, Canadian Tire Financial Services, the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO). Now the Toronto based agency is preparing for the next phase of the agencies evolution in what they call “building a new breed of agency and this required a new breed of partners to lead it into the future.”
As part of the shift they have named five new multidisciplinary partners who join Peter Jeffery and Alan Gee in managing the company. Jeffery and Gee will still remain significant partners in the agency and part of the senior management team. Gee will continue to serve as the agency’s Chief Creative Officer, overseeing the agency’s creative assets in both Canada and the U.S. Jeffery will focus on senior client relationships, overall business strategy, and new business opportunities.

Kevin Pfuhl has been named managing partner, client development. With the agency since 1998, Pfuhl will provide senior leadership and counsel to the agency’s existing clients. He will work closely with them to identify new opportunities for their businesses and brands and to ensure that they receive the best service and results. He will also manage the agency’s day-to-day operations. Pfuhl was previously GJP Advertising’s executive vice president, strategy director.
John Yorke has been named managing partner, business development. A recent addition to the agency, Yorke will focus broadly on the generation of new clients and revenues as well as new alliances and partnerships. He will join Pfuhl in managing the agency’s day-to-day operations. Yorke was previously the agency’s executive vice president, interactive and will continue to lead that discipline. Yorke is the former president and CEO of Medium One (M1), a leading interactive agency. GJP Advertising was an early investor in the 60-person shop from 1999 through 2000 until it was sold to Mosaic Group.
Lisa Greenberg, has been named partner, creative director. With GJP Advertising since 2003, Greenberg will lead and oversee the agency’s multidisciplinary creative teams and champion media agnostic thinking in all creative activities of the agency. Greenberg was recently named creative director and was previously the agency’s associate creative director of design.
Nancy Christou, has been named partner, chief financial officer. Christou will continue to manage GJP Advertising’s financial and administrative operations, ensuring financial interoperability. She has been with GJP Advertising since 1999 and has served as chief financial officer since 2002. Christou has been a key contributor to the agency’s profitable growth, expansion into the U.S., and the development of its integrated services.
Gord Cathmoir has been named partner, creative services. Cathmoir will continue to manage and integrate the agency’s multidisciplinary production capabilities. Previously, GJP Advertising’s vice president, creative services, Cathmoir has been with the agency since 2002.
