Borat - 2007’s Entrepreneur of the Year

2007 has been a huge year for start-ups around the world, but that doesn’t mean they all make it to the finish line. Here in Canada we’ve seen a few companies make some great strides Dabble DB received some VC funding, FreshBooks continues to grow at a rate that satisfied their customers, advisory team and company employees, oh and they’re making money. Unfortunately not ever entrepreneur is a jack of all trades, this years Dragon’s Den definitely showed this with some great and some ‘yikes’ presenters.

So what does it take to be a successful entrepreneur?

Jeffery Bussgang has a great post on his blog where he suggest what entrepreneurs can learn from Borat:

  1. Take risks, without fear.
  2. Audacious, yet credible.
  3. Never stop selling.

Well Jeremy you’ve had one hell of a ride getting b5Media to this point and it looks like you not only got the money, but the respect as well!
