Steve Jobs & iTunes killed Napster
Well it looks like version 2 of Napster didn’t last that long, Techcrunch reports that Napster is up for sale. At first they were killed by lawsuits and court battles from the record industry and now it seems that low margins and a strong competitor in iTunes was just too much.
Last month Europe alone accounted for over 200 million songs being sold on iTunes. It will be interesting to see how Microsoft’s Zune will play into the battle own of online music.
