EQO Communications Secures US$9 Million in funding

VOIP continues to grow and many players are starting to enter the next phase of business, integration with other business services, just look at what Skype has been doing over the last few months. As users of technology do we really wanted to be tied down to a Internet connection in one location to be able to use VOIP, of course not! Enter companies like Vancouver based EQO Communications who just secured US$9 million Series B in financing to help further International growth. The financing round was led by Ventures West and included investments from existing investors GrowthWorks and BDC Capital.
EQO’s technology allows for consumers to leverage their mobile devices for voice and messaging communications at reduced calling costs, and currently works on instant message platform such as Skype, AIM, ICQ, MSN Messenger,
GoogleTalk and Yahoo! Instant Messenger networks.
