My Virtual Model has launched a new social shopping site that is looking to offer consumers the combination of a 2D, 3D a user-centric outfitting experience callit “social shopping.” The company has been around since 1983, founded by Louise Guay, Ph.D., and Jean-François St-Arnaud, both based in Montreal, Canada. The My Virtual Model product is leveraging the company’s BrandME, Virtual Dressing Room, and Virtual Showroom platforms and with it retailers can set up complete product catalog offering incorporating both 2D image and 3D model formats and targeted product recommendations and advertising opportunities based on user’s profile and behavior. User are also given features to allow for a customized experience such as the ability to add user faces, outfit models with current fashions and share their styles, looks, and closet with friends and social networks.
My Virtual Model’s solution is being used by clients Lands’ End, Sears, Best Buy, H&M, Adidas, Speedo, Levi Strauss & Co., and publishers/social networks such as Facebook, iVillage.com, gURL, etc.
