With more and more social networks popping up all over the Internet, the niche areas that they cover is starting to become more and more broad, we’ve already covers ones that focus on comedy, hockey and . The latest one looks to help end the one hundred year plus battle of racist amongst people. Twenty-eight year old Art Harrison Founder says, “This is brand new to the world of social networking, we’re encouraging our members to create diverse friendships and pay attention to their racial biases. By tracking their interactions on the site and informing them of some of their biases and subconscious values we’re trying to give them a gentle nudge towards diversity.”
Five years ago, MixedRace.com launched and grew quietly to a membership base of just over 400,000 which falls under the radar of other popular community based sites. On June 1, 2007, Harrison made the switch to MixYourWorlds.com adding various social networking tools.
Great idea in concept to tackle on social problems in today’s world, but the reality is that people are people and unfortunately launching a new website will not change the physiological thinking of people to make them stop hating others.
