There’s a new sheriff in town at the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) and his name is Byron Hollan. The Canadian dot-ca (.ca) Internet domain name registry has announced that Byron has been named the new President and CEO of the not-for-profit organization. Holland comes to the CIRA with over 17 years experience in the technology, finance, and
retail sectors and joins CIRA from Futura Rewards where he was a founding partner and performed as Chief Operating Officer. While at Futura Rewards, Holland led the IT and Operations groups and was instrumental in its growth to become the third-largest coalition loyalty program in Canada. During his tenure, Futura Rewards raised over $20 million in venture financing and launched a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO).
