The years of hard work, razor focus and of course a few road trips down to Montreal have paid off for Toronto-based, Thindata and its Co-Founders, Chris Carder, CEO and Chancellor Crawford, Chief Technology Officer. The news has just broke that the permission-based email marketing services firm has been acquired by Transcontinental, for an undisclosed sum of money. Transcontinental has been actively growing its arsenal of tools over the last few months, most recently with a robust content management system, and the combined addition of ThinData’s email marketing platform will help to increase marketing opportunities for the consumer publisher.

Over the 12 years they have been in business ThinData has grown an impressive roster of clients and grown the business to just over 60 employee.
So what’s next for Chris? Both he and Chancellor will retain minority equity positions in ThinData and will continue in their respective roles. Chris will also be on hand as I interview him as part of the Toronto Tech Talk’s event on March 20th which is a part of Toronto Tech Week.
